Dr Viyan Hague

Dr Viyan Hague obtained a First Class Honours degree in Pathology before graduating as a doctor from the University of London in 2009. She honed her craft as a GP in the diverse communities of London, before relocating to Melbourne with her husband in 2015.
 
Dr Hague has a wide breadth of experience and knowledge in all areas of medicine for patients of all ages, including chronic disease management such as diabetes, high blood pressure and weight management, as well as mental health and care of the elderly. She takes pride in taking a holistic approach to medicine and empowering her patients to achieve their goals with or without medication.
 
Dr Hague specialises in practising medicine according to the most up to date, evidence-based research. Viyan has a particular interest in lifestyle modification and hormonal health and has helped hundreds of patients achieve their weight loss goals. She embraces the new era of longevity medicine, epigenetics and the gut microbiome’s impact on physical and mental health and wellbeing.
 
Dr Hague has additional diplomas in family planning and sexual health, and is skilled in Implanon insertion and removal (and Mirena removal).  As a mother of 2 young children she enjoys providing care for babies and children, as well as helping patients navigate through their fertility journey.
 
Viyan is well-known for her compassionate and warm bedside manner and dealing with patients with complex mental health issues.
 
She has an honorary role at the University of Melbourne as a medical student educator and thoroughly enjoys teaching the next generation of doctors.
